Say hello to our suppliers

May 13, 2022

Here's why we've chosen some of our suppliers and who they are.

Think local icon

Supporting local as much as we can is a fantastic goal, but it's inherently difficult when one of our key products isn't farmed in our part of the world. While the coffee beans may have to travel across the globe, we have decided to use a local roaster.

We also source our milk from a local farm, our cakes from near Oxford and our selection of teas come from London.

We are so excited to be using ‘NewGround Coffee’ based in Oxford not only because the owner is also called Dickon (what are the chances) and their coffee is flipping fantastic.

Their ethically sourced high-grade coffee, is carefully selected from small-scale farms around the world, to their state-of-the-art facilities where they expertly roast each batch.

On top of that their coffee is working as a catalyst for change by creating work and training opportunities for ex-offenders across the UK, giving some of the most overlooked people in society a new beginning.

Lacey's Family Farm Milk

Our milk comes directly from Lacey’s Family Farm in South Buckinghamshire courtesy of their pedigree herd of Guernsey cows.

Guernsey milk is renowned for its golden colour, rich creamy taste and exceptional nutrient content, its high protein and fat content make what we think is a rather superior coffee.

We might go into the science behind good milk in another blog one day.

Nemi Teas Logo

If coffee is not your thing, that’s ok, we offer a selection of teas too. We have found a delightful London-based tea company ‘Nemi Teas’.

Their teas are Organic and Fairtrade-certified, all of their teabags are plastic-free and the packaging is biodegradable.

Nemi teas provide employment to refugees giving them local work experience and job readiness skills to enter the UK workforce and help them integrate into broader society, now that’s PositiviTEA!
